Good morning[1], I'm Mikeal /mɪˈkeɪl/. I am a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University. I am an officer for CMU ACM. You may have seen me as the "Conductor" and Co-Lead of this year's HackCMU. I will be Lead Organizer of Hackberry Pi in 2027.

[1] This is my habitual greeting. I say it to everyone, even if it's not morning.

Some would say I am enthusiastic about compilers. They should also mention that I am enthusiastic about computer architecture, theoretical computer science, artificial intelligence, and linguistics.

I am currently looking for summer internships and research opportunities.

MEGASynth

25-key polyphonic synthesizer made using salvaged parts. Written in Rust using the ATMega2560.

UNR Linguistics Club

Founded the Linguistics Club at the University of Nevada, Reno as its first president. Gave weekly lectures on linguistics and applicable areas of computer science and computational science.

AWAP 2026

Part of the software team for AWAP 2026, along side being a main organizer. Primarily contributed to web hosting and dashboard development.
